Worship

“Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.” –1 John 4:7-12

Join us for worship Sunday mornings at 11:00! Butner Presbyterian Church is a small church with a big heart. When you join us for worship, you will be warmly welcomed. We follow a traditional style of worship in a casual and friendly atmosphere. In worship we are called by God to assemble with praise, confess our shortcomings and hear God’s forgiveness, hear the Word read and proclaimed, and respond with faith, generosity, and service.

Worship at Butner Presbyterian Church centers on the Word of God. You will hear scripture incorporated into all aspects of worship: from the call to worship to the charge and benediction. At Butner Presbyterian, we believe that scripture is the inspired Word of God, and that it is the authoritative witness to the Living Christ and the sure guide to living in harmony and obedience to God’s command to love God and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
